This milestone marks a significant step toward empowering the youth of North Western Uganda and East Africa at large with the education and skills they need to build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
However, our journey is far from over. To truly fulfil the mission of EIST, we need your support.

Right now, we are raising funds to build dormitories, with a special focus on ensuring safe and secure accommodation for girls, who face unique challenges in accessing education. A dedicated dormitory will provide them with a safe space to live, learn, and thrive—free from the risks of long commutes and other barriers that often stand in their way.

1. Construction of Girls' Dormitories – Building a safe, secure, and fully equipped living space to accommodate female students.
2. Construction of Boys' Dormitories – Ensuring equal access to safe housing for male students as well.
3. Essential Amenities – Providing basic necessities such as beds, mattresses, clean water facilities, and electricity to create a comfortable and conducive environment for learning.
4. Safety Measures – Installing secure fencing, lighting, and other safety features to protect all students.

Empowering Women in the Local Community
Dr Sarah Akello highlights how the Erussi Institute of Science and Technology aims to significantly improve education and income opportunities for young women in the community. She emphasizes that the region of Uganda has a lower GDP, which often limits access to quality education and skilled employment. By providing practical training and education tailored to the needs of the local economy, the institute empowers young women to develop valuable skills that can enhance their earning potential. Additionally, Dr Akello notes that the institute will also welcome students from neighbouring Congo, fostering cross-border collaboration and providing these individuals with the tools they need to succeed. This initiative not only uplifts the local community but also contributes to greater economic growth and stability in the region.
